Outdoor Garden Shed Plans

Awhile back the wife decided she wanted to plant a garden. She went and bought a wheel barrow, some shovels and hoes and other assorted garden equipment along with bags of dirt and pots of all shapes and sizes…and then tried to store it all in my garage! Nope, looks like I needed to do a bit of shopping myself and invest in a good set of outdoor garden shed plans.
I never realized how much you actually needed to consider when building such a structure. The one thing I did not think much about was the load on the roof when it snowed. Please do this as snow is some really heavy stuff and most shed plans come with a fairly flat roof pitch and use small spec lumber which will collapse under the load.
Also, shed make for great targets form people looking to steal things to sell to pawn shops and flea markets and lawn and garden equipment sells great at these types of venues, so get yourself a good heavy door and solid lock.
I would also recommend that you get a set of plans for a shed that is a bit larger than you will think you need because believe me, it fills up fast and when your wife decides she no longer likes gardening you will not have any room for anything else at all!
Next, if it gets hot where you are located you need to make sure the plans include roof venting because it can get mighty hot in there and possibly damage some of the shed’s contents. And please, do not try and save money by using cheap lumber that will quickly rot. Use pressure treated wood and then seal and paint it so it last several years.
An outdoor garden shed is nice to have and worth the investment. Just make sure if you are going to be building it yourself you get a good set of plans because it will save you a lot of time and money for sure.

Depending on where you intend to put your shed, it might be a good idea to add a porch to it. If your structure will accent your landscape then this added feature can not only be an attractive addition but a functional one as well.

I had to replace my lawnmower this summer. I do not have a garage so I just put it under a tree with a bucket over the motor during the winter. Not a great idea, but the wife would not let me put it in the dining room so what was I to do?

Easy DIY Projects – Upgrades and Minor Kitchen Renovation With Major Impacts
More often than not, the kitchen can be that area of the house that is long past neglected, in serious need of cleaning, and hasn’t been retouched since the contractors laid their print of approval on it.
