I’m very interested in gardening, yet I’m very young and know NOTHING about it, so I’d really like some advice on how I can start or even recommendations on books that can get me started.

Having recently moved to Texas from the midwest, I have no clue how to landscape our yard. What types of plants, shrubs, flowers etc grow best down here. Obviously they need to be heat and humidity hearty, but also want low maintainence as I do NOT have a green thumb. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance for your suggestions.

I do not have green fingers but would love to have a beautiful garden this Spring or at least start to plant flowers or bulbs that will bloom later in the year.
Me and my wife are going to Busch Gardens either this Friday (April or next Friday (April 15). Is this a good time to go? I chose a Friday because I figured it would be less crowded than a Saturday, and it’s the only day of the week I can get off of work. Is April a good time to go? Which week is best to go during April? Can you guys help me out?
By the way, it’s Busch Gardens TAMPA, FL!
