We have very little in term of landscaping, A few palms, ice plant that has no flowers, no grass, one orange tree, We do have 2 hummingbird feeders and a birdbath about 10-15 feet away from our below ground pool. We are in San Diego, CA and our pool is in open sunlight almost all day so it gets up to about 80-88 degrees with out heating it. Lately when me and my 6 yr old go swimming, especially between 2pm – 8 pm we spend the whole time ducking bee’s, fishing them out of the pool and my daughter, although she’s never been stung and I stay calm, is freaking out. Anyone know how to keep bee’s away? Old family remedy, spray, repellent anything?

I have an excess of red tomatoes from my garden. Any recipe or storage ideas?

Should I expect better DTV reception from an indoor antenna?

I live about 15 – 20 miles from the antenna towers. The landscape includes hills, though my house sits at a fairly high elevation. My picture flickers out-of-reception when my family walks around the room. Is this normal? I can put up an outdoor antenna, but I don’t want to go to that much trouble unless it is required.
The antenna I am using is a DTV antenna
