I want to specialize in selling edible landscaping plants – fruit trees, vines, shrubs, etc. I am planning on setting this up on the west coast of the US in about 2 years. Anyone have any suggestions on steps I can take now that will help me in the future? Has anyone tried this before?

I have two small balconies (9′x3 1/2′) and would like to get some flowers out there but with just one chair on each deck there is little room. Some things I have thought about trying; clematis vine if it would flower this year on the floor and could climb the railing, those hanging bags with holes in them you see around with impatients and such. I can not hang a basket from the ceiling outside as out balconies are cement. Any ideas are really appreciated!

I’m wanting to travel extensively, see the landscape, shrines, temples, architecture and get to know the ancient Japan and modern Japan. Any ideas on ways to really immerse myself in the culture would really help. I’m looking for ideas of places to go, stay, and what to try. Also, about how much it would cost would be nice. My budget isn’t unlimited. Thank you.

We bought a home recently and our backyard is not landscaped yet. It is a huge back yard. I was wondering if you could provide me with some ideas, maybe photos if you find any. I have a 4 month daughter so maybe something that she can use.
Thanks! I was thinking maybe to do a patio (as there is none) And do some concrete all around the house, and put some new grass. Create like a sandbox-playground area for my daughter. I love the trees around the fence. maye be some palm trees and fruit trees. i was also wanting to do a veggie garden.
I love the idea of flower beds. I might be putting that on both corners of the yard. with stones. thanks!

Our backyard has a slope from the fence to about 6 feet out. It’s about 4 feet difference. i need some ideas to camoflage the slope. There’s not much that can be done as far as leveling without having to replace the entire fence.

Creeper is a type of plant, which cannot stand by itself, it trails or climbs. Most creepers are flowering plants. Climbers can be annual, bi-annual or perennial. Climbers are commonly used on walls, arches, pergolas, trellises, porches, arbours, and pillars. Bare walls can effectively be decorated by growing colorful climbers on them. Fences & trellises also provide scope for these plants to grow and be decorative. It is often felt that among the various types of ornamental plants, the least interest is taken on creepers and only a few species or varieties are found growing in a locality. Even a good amateur gardener seldom knows more than a dozen climbers and practical information on many of these plants are not readily available.
