Besides deer repellant that you buy at the store, is there anything else you can do? Please help they are eating all my beautiful flowers.

We have very little in term of landscaping, A few palms, ice plant that has no flowers, no grass, one orange tree, We do have 2 hummingbird feeders and a birdbath about 10-15 feet away from our below ground pool. We are in San Diego, CA and our pool is in open sunlight almost all day so it gets up to about 80-88 degrees with out heating it. Lately when me and my 6 yr old go swimming, especially between 2pm – 8 pm we spend the whole time ducking bee’s, fishing them out of the pool and my daughter, although she’s never been stung and I stay calm, is freaking out. Anyone know how to keep bee’s away? Old family remedy, spray, repellent anything?
