My dad is retired and my mom will be in the winter also.
During the summer they have gardening, and working outside.
They keep to themselves most of the time and may go to an auction or two during the winter.
So clubs or groups are out of their options.
I know they won’t hurt but I fear them just the same. Is there anything I can put on my garden to keep them away or make them go away. We are losing green space and last year there were more than I want to see. I hate things that move faster than me and they are really fast. I am afraid to garden and I love it. HELP!
To keep raccoons out of the garden, build up some kind of fencing around the garden, get rid of rotten vegetables in the garden, and keep any garbage and waste contained to discourage their presence. Make it hard for raccoons to get into the garden with advice from an experienced horticulturist in this free video on gardening.

For some reason my mother plants a large garden every year, and every year it is decimated by a large group of cute little bunny rabbits. Sometimes I think all she is doing is feeding the rabbits. I can’t help her out because of my health, and she probably cannot errect fences. I do not like the idea of poisoning them (for one thing the neighbor has a bunch of purebred dogs and they are bound to eat one of the rabbits).
I wear a ballcap but that doesn’t really help. Is there a spray or homeopathic solution to get these pesky insects away from me when I am outside working in the grass and garden? I live in the mountains. They arrive in late spring and don’t leave until early October. It makes it almost impossible to stay outdoors. Our township does not have community spray for the area.

i currently have a number of khaki campbells which run around our back field with the hens, we have never had any bother with that, and the khakis are fairly easy to look after as a domestic duck. I have taken an interest into mandarin, and was wondering if anyone has any advice as to the right way to look after them…is it just the same kind of idea as the khaki’s, feed them, give them a pond, let them run around? I heard somewhere that they are quite flighty, is this true and will they fly away from home or stay put? do they learn where their coops is if we leave them in it for a few days then let them out? how good are they as pets, eg, are they sociable, eat out of your hand eventually?
Any info you have, il appreciate it!! thanks
Oh yea, my friend lives in the suburbs and wants to get a pair for his back garden too…how feasible is that providing they have a pond ect?
