We live in Wi where it kept snowing hard this winter and the snow turned into ice real quick. We have a few bushes in our front yard’s landscaping.
Alot of snow is right in the middle of the bush also so as far as trimming how would that work if the snow fell dead in the middle?

When I see a photograph (it’s usually a landscape or cityscape, i.e., not people in it) that has amazing color richness, tone, detail, etc., it always seems like a very long exposure, anywhere from a couple of seconds to a minute, and I’m going to assume it was done with the aid of a tripod. Is there a particular reason why long exposure photos get such richness in the imagery, and is there any type of scene–based on the lighting, color, time of day, etc., that works better than others?
I’m looking for some type of plant, maybe a grass, which is drought resistant, so it really does not need to be watered. However, this plant or grass would have very long roots, so it would basically be a great plant for a rain garden. If it did get wet or rained on, the long roots would soak up the rain. In other words, this plant would not care if it rained or not (but it would like the rain.) And this plant also would not care one way or the other about sun or shade. This plant would be low maintenance (you plant it and it just does all the rest), perennial and would be fairly aggressive and spread on its own.
