We’ve been in this house for years,
My cat Tiger was a stray and we took him in and let him outdoors ever since we’ve had him.
But now were moving.
To a large house with a hugehuge lawn.
bigger than what we have here.
We have about 1 acre of unfinished landscaping and we have a main road at the end of our house.
The house is far set back and has 2 decks which we were thinking of letting him out on a leash on.
We are iffy of letting him out free because of those stories of cats returning home and plus the main road.
Hes not the type of cat to run away really he will try to get out the door, but once hes out he wont make a mad dash if you call his name and pet him on the back hell plop down for a belly rub and practically smile lol.
So how do we move him?
ESCONDIDO: Nursing home residents get a new outdoor space
To some people, it might look like a simple patio with a little landscaping and a half-dozen large shade umbrellas.
I’m adding lighting to my outdoor steps. For the time being, I’m going to use LED lighting that is 12v/1.5watt each, but in the future I might add some landscape lighting. Does the wattage of the transformer impact the amount of electricity used? That is, if I run these four lights off of a 300 watt transformer, would it use more electricity than if I ran them off of a 120 watt one? I ask not only because I eventually might add to the transformer’s workload, but also because the price difference between the transformers is only $10 and the $300 has better reviews.
Thanks for the info. I suspected as much, but wanted confirmation. As for the LED bulbs, the webpage (https://www.socallighting.com/Merchant2/merchant.mvc?Screen=PROD&Product_Code=SRS-502LED) that I’d be ordering the lights from doesn’t specify if they have a rectifier, but I thought boyonet sockets had them built in. Anyone know if that’s the case?
We are hoping to have a small outdoor wedding ceremony (with only 8 – 20 guests) sometime during the weekend of August 1st, 2009, near York, Pennsylvania. We wouldn’t mind having it on Friday (July 31st) or Sunday (August 2nd), if those days are discounted, but would prefer to have it in the evening. Our goal is to find a local, scenic outdoor venue for less than $1000 ceremony site fee. We are desperately seeking a nicely landscaped area… gardens, fountains, a forest, an open field, a winery, an orchard, a restaurant next to the river — it doesn’t matter as long as it’s a beautiful spot, affordable, private, and close enough to York (ideally no more than an hour or so away). Privacy is VERY important to us; we would prefer to have no onlookers (which is why state parks aren’t really an option). We have already checked out Hershey Gardens, but would like to find something more private. Please help! Any recommendations that fit these guidelines would be very useful.
Over the din of jackhammering noise from a nearby street construction site, designer Irwin Weiner ASID gives us a quick tip on how to quickly glam up an outdoor wall of your home, a garden wall, and so on. Some plant materials, a great paint color, and some wainscoting detail will punch up the wall a lot. Go to Design2Share.com for home decorating videos, tips, resources, and expert help.
I own a Canon Rebel T1i, but im not totally familiar with it. Im still learning how to use different settings.
I find that when taking outdoor action photos the quality of the pictures seems to be no better than my old, compact digital Canon Powershot. (Which was not very good.)
They are not very sharp or crisp, especially in comparison to shots taken by a friend who owns a Nikon. I cant seem to figure out how to get a nice, clear, bright, crisp photo that doesnt blur the background a ton.
Somebody help – I’m reaching Bride-zilla Level Orange!
I’m newly engaged and planning a wedding for the Fall of 2011 (temperatures will be around 75-85 degrees in South Florida.) I’m expecting at least 60 people, but may have a guest list as large as 90. I really want to get married outdoors, but more in a forest or garden type setting rather than at the beach. I’m a big tree-hugger and also I’m not much of a beach person. Another thing to mention, my father who will be “walking” me down the aisle is in a wheelchair, so the aisle needs to be wheelchair friendly. My big problem – everytime I search on the internet for South Florida outdoor wedding venues all I get is beach, beach and more beach.
